For the past two years, we’ve been working tirelessly to bring Dan.com’s most loved features to Afternic, including Lease to Own, the Custom Lander, and the Custom Checkout Link.

Now, it’s time to take the next big step and unite both platforms and our customer bases through a migration process, merging Dan.com with Afternic.

Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of our Migration Center! Until October 15th, sellers can self-migrate, auto-migrate, or opt out of the migration process via the Migration Center.

The Migration Center for Sellers

Accessible via your Dan.com dashboard, the Migration Center is your go-to hub during the migration window. We’ve made it as easy as possible to migrate your account to Afternic to begin using the platform’s top features.

Start Migration Now

Whether you’ve used Afternic or not, you can easily handle the migration yourself. By self-migrating, you can quickly start using Afternic’s best features to further your domain sales experience.

To self-migrate, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Migration Center, find “Self-migrate now”, and click “Select”.
  2. Read and confirm the migration information screens.
  3. Follow the button to Afternic where you’ll link your existing account or create a new one.
  4. You’re done! Other non-critical tasks might await you in the Migration Center, we suggest taking a look.

During the migration process, you can track progress through your Dan.com portfolio. Look for the “Afternic” column, where you’ll find “Pending Migration” and “Migrated” statuses.

You can learn more about the self-migration path through our FAQs.

Auto Migration

Select the “Auto-migrate” option in the Migration Center, and you’re all set. Starting October 16, 2024, we’ll move your Dan.com account to Afternic. If an Afternic account with your Dan.com email exists, we’ll merge the accounts; if not, we’ll create a new Afternic account for you.

Here’s how to choose auto migration:

  1. Go to the Migration Center and click “Select” in the “Auto-migrate” section.
  2. Read and confirm the migration information screens.
  3. Your Dan.com account will be automatically migrated on or after October 16th.

Opt Out

If you choose not to migrate to Afternic, you can, by heading to the Migration Center and selecting “Opt out.”

Your Dan.com account and domains won’t be transferred, and you’ll miss out on Afternic’s best features. After October 16th, your domain names on Dan.com will be deleted.

Whatever choice you make, you’ll be able to access the Migration Center to check on your migration status or perform other important tasks.

Download Your Documents

We know that accessing your invoices and other transactional data is important for the ongoing administration of your portfolios. That’s why we’ve made downloading your documents simple.

The Migration Center will let you download the following:

  • Active LTO Transactions: A list of your active Lease to Own transactions at Dan.com.
  • Transactional Data: A complete breakdown of your sales including sales price, commission rates, tax, and more.
  • Dan.com Domain Listings: A list of all domain names you currently have listed at Dan.com.
  • All Invoices: Download all invoices for transactions you’ve closed at Dan.com.

These documents will be delivered via a secure link sent to your email. To begin, select the document types you want to export, then click “Export Selected.”

Get Started with Afternic

Over the last two years, we’ve been on an exciting journey to merge our platform with Afternic. So, much of Afternic’s experience and features will be familiar to you.

You’ll find Lease to Own, Ownership Verification, Custom Checkout Link, the Custom Lander and more, through Afternic, built in collaboration with Dan.com. Of course, if you have any questions, Afternic’s support team is ready to help.
